About Me
Hi There
I am passionate about utilizing construction-oriented technologies, including software, AI, and other tools, combined with my experience in engineering and architecture, to automate tasks and enhance production in the construction sector. This approach ensures a balance between technical quality, aesthetics, and economic considerations while driving efficiency and innovation.
With 27 years of experience in architecture and the construction sector, supported by my background in systems engineering, I have diversified my knowledge to develop a broader perspective for informed decision-making.
I am dedicated to continuous learning and firmly believe in the power of collaboration to drive success in every project. Each project, big or small, does not represent a problem to me but rather a challenge to find one or several solutions that lead to efficiency.
I do not subscribe to the idea that everything is already solved; I firmly believe that there is always a better path, and this drives my curiosity to discover and investigate how to implement it. Additionally, I believe that knowledge, when not directly connected to the construction field, does not offer a practical solution. Therefore, being present on-site is essential to understand the problems firsthand and then return to the office to shape solutions with all available tools, ensuring efficiency, practicality, and confidence in the results.
"While working with CWE in Peru and Ecuador, he consistently demonstrated professionalism and excellence. His contributions to projects like San Gabán III and the Flood Control System showcased his technical expertise and dedication to quality. He was an invaluable asset to our team."

CONSTRUCTION
My professional experience in the construction sector has been defined by my involvement in three major projects:
Flood Control System for the Cañar and Naranjal Rivers,
Pascuales Thermal Power Plant, and the
San Gabán III Hydroelectric Power Plant.
Together, these projects represent a combined investment of
$1.02 billion and encompass a diverse array of construction challenges and achievements.
During these projects, I was able to leverage my knowledge of advanced software and technological tools to address various obstacles.
This approach enabled me to deliver innovative solutions with the goal of executing efficient construction strategies and meticulous planning.
These experiences have further solidified my ability to contribute to large-scale projects while ensuring quality, precision, and adherence to objectives.
Flood Control System for the Cañar and Naranjal Rivers ....
The Flood Control Project for the Cañar and Naranjal Rivers, located in the southern coastal region of Ecuador, is among the largest flood control initiatives in South America. This project addresses the critical issue of excess water flow during the rainy season..
I was actively involved in all the major works of the project, which aim to mitigate the impacts of excess runoff caused by seasonal rains. Some of the key works include::.
Flow Diversion Structure
Design of a rectangular concrete intake with a 2 m high weir spanning 280 m to divert 1,100 m³/s into a bypass. Features an oil-hydraulic gate system for regulating flows between 400 a 800 m³/s.
Cañar River Bypass
Development of a 23 km canal, 290 m wide, capable of transporting up to 1,100 m³/s. Includes a 500-hectare sedimentation reservoir with a capacity of 13.7 million m³, enhancing water quality and supporting regional irrigation.
Hydraulic Protection Works
Construction of 342 km of longitudinal dikes along the Cañar, Patul, Piedras, Norcay, Naranjal, and Chacayacu rivers. Dikes are designed to prevent overflows, featuring a 5.8 m crown width and variable side slopes.
Bridges
Construction of 12 new bridges (2 and 4 lanes), totaling 2 km in length, to enhance connectivity along the La Troncal a Puerto Inca and Boliche a Puerto Inca routes. Structures include modular post-tensioned beams of 40 m.
Road Infrastructure
Development of 333 km of access roads integrated into the existing network, featuring sub-base, base, and asphalt layers. Dike crowns also serve as roadways.
Flood Control and SCADA Communication System
Implementation of three monitoring stations for flow and hydraulic system control, interconnected with the diversion structure and a national SCADA-based central monitoring system.
Complementary Works
Installation of 85 culverts (2 a 74 m³/s).
35 additional culverts for flows up to 29 m³/s.
Construction of 12 km of drainage ditches (200 a 9,800 l/s).
Installation of 56.2 km of drainage ditches for flows up to 19,250 l/s.
My experience in this significant project as the coordinating architect in the design area included interactions with the construction phase, material selection, and providing technological support through CAD technology, as well as managing all the generated data for the development of this project.
The local government took the initiative to revitalize and rescue the deteriorated commercial and financial center of the city. Over a span of 2.5 km, the project incorporates concrete pathways with green areas and major historical monuments of Guayaquil, such as the Hemiciclo de la Rotonda, the Palacio de Cristal, the MAAC (Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art), gardens, fountains, shopping centers, restaurants, bars, food courts, and the first IMAX cinema in South America. Additionally, it includes docks where visitors can board boats for daytime and nighttime cruises along the Guayas River, observation decks, and various other attractions.
This project represents one of the largest undertakings by the city of Guayaquil and is considered a global model. It has also been declared a "healthy public space" by the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).
Malecón 2000 represents the essence of Guayaquil, as this location marks the origin of the city. It was here that visitors arrived in Ecuador during colonial times; it housed the docks where goods were unloaded to sustain the city and the nation. From this point, urban progress expanded, playing a fundamental role in Guayaquil's evolution and aesthetic enrichment.
San Gabán III Hydroelectric Project
My experience as a Technical Advisor on one of the most important hydroelectric projects in Peru:
The San Gabán III Hydroelectric Project is located in the lower basin of the San Gabán River in Puno, with a designed annual energy generation capacity of 1.25 billion kWh.

Turbine Type: Vertical Shaft Pelton
Number of units: 02
Existing Seasonal Regulation Reservoirs: 37.5 MMC
220 kV Transmission Line: that will connect the project with SE Onocora or SE Azángaro.
Estimated Investment: US$ 438 million (excluding VAT).
Headworks:
Fixed rockfill dam with a height of 7.80 meters and a crest length of 43 meters.
Mobile dam with three radial gates measuring 10 m x 7 m, with a maximum discharge of 816 m³/s.
Water intake with four gates.
Desander with four units.
Daily regulation reservoir with a total storage capacity of 320,000 m³ and effective regulation storage of 290,000 m³.
Technical innovations:
The project also involved the use of a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) for the excavation of a 15 km long rock tunnel, a significant technical challenge that required careful planning and execution.
Role as Technical Advisor:
As a technical advisor, my role was to ensure the proper execution of all project phases, overseeing the implementation of the works and providing technical solutions that ensured efficiency, quality, and adherence to established timelines.
